Seasoned Hamburgers With Caramelized Onions

Ingredients for 6-8 servings

⅛ cup A.1. Steak Sauce
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 0.7-ounce packet Good Seasons Italian Dressing and Recipe Mix
2 pounds 80/20 ground beef
6 to 8 burger or bulkie rolls
Blue Cheese Aioli
Few grinds of black pepper
One large onion, cut into thick slices


Place onion, oil, butter, salt, pepper and sugar in a medium skillet and turn to medium to medium low. Heat the onion slices, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes or until nice and caramelized.

In a medium bowl, gently mix Good Seasons Italian Dressing packet and A.1. Steak Sauce into ground beef and form into patties.

In a large cast iron skillet, add one tablespoon of the olive oil and heat pan over medium high heat.

Place the patties in the skillet and sear untouched for two to three minutes, or until a nice crust has formed. Flip, reduce the heat to medium and cook until your desired doneness.

Smear the top of a cut bulkie or burger roll with blue cheese aioli. Place the cooked burger on the bottom of the roll, then top the burger with the caramelized onions. Serve with pickle and potato salad.
